LUCKY DAYS

I didn't expect to like this, and it's been the loveliest surprise. Lucky Days is bright, tangy, and sweet without being cloying. It reminds me of Les Anis de Flavigny candies, shades of blue-green, and the sun not setting until 10.

(I also usually get headaches from jasmine--there's a jasmine note in here, but it's subtle enough that it hasn't bothered me).

I discovered this scent when I purchased Paraphrase’s sample kit, and I had an instant attraction to this effervescent fragrance

This was one of my samples, the first I’ve worn for a day. Initial smell out of the bottle and onto the sample card is very sharp. The petitgrain note was intense and to me, overwhelming.

Upon wear, that same note clung on for about 2 hours, really smelling like it sat on top of my skin rather than becoming a part of it. After those first few hours , the more herbal notes and the warmth of the musk started to become more apparent and balance it out.

Ultimately this one was not for me. The smell is reminiscent of essential oils for the diffuser and it did not mix with my body chemistry.

One of my favourites from the sample set was Lucky Days so I purchased a full size. To me, it is a light sunny sweet interesting and approachable scent. I figured out why I like it so much - it reminds me of a favourite German cologne 4711, however Lucky Days is more complex and longer-lasting. It is a pleasure for me to wear.

It took me awhile to warm up to this scent…..but I really like it. It is now the only one I use and it is very interesting to describe. It is fruity and floral and a bit musky after you spritz but becomes very warm and light as the day wears on.What I love about it the most is it lasts the whole day and that warm lingering scent is pure joy. I am really looking forward to wearing it in the warmer weather.
