SMOKED BLOOM

Smoked flowers and delicious stone fruit. Addictive.

I quite enjoyed this scent. Nice juicy stonefruits, light smoke, little floral, pretty unique and interesting. But it really doesn’t last, at least not on me. I get about 3 hours before I can barely detect it. You might get luckier than me with that factor, so if this seems like your sort of fragrance then I say try it!

At first spray, one is aware of a fire burning some distance away for magical purposes. There is bay leaf alight in the fire. But then you are drawn in further and everything opens to its full purpose. The smell of smoke is gone and there is nothing left of it but lush apricot, elegant bergamot, precious sandalwood and flowers, along with that bay, all offered to and accepted by the goddess of love herself.

Purchased Paraphrase because I was looking for a high quality CANADIAN scent to wear. Smoked Bloom is my new daily wear. Love that it feels neither feminine or masculine. Truly unisex.

Scent is too overpowering for me with the balance of smoke to apricot

My sampler pack arrived while I am recovering from a cold, so I may leave updated reviews in a few weeks. I will say I tried this one on my skin yesterday and I liked it a lot. Long-lasting, subtle, floral but not overly sweet and definitely had some depth. Am leaving 4 stars because I want to try it again when my nose clears up.

Found this at the scent fair in Los Angeles and loved it right away. Lovely scent but disappointed that it doesn’t last on skin more than a couple of hours.

The name Smoked Bloom might be a bit misleading, as there's no discernible tobacco or smoky note listed or detected. Instead, it wears beautifully with a fresh blend of green woody branches, apricot, and orange. It reminds me of picking an orange straight from the tree, with the green, earthy scent of the broken branch mingling with the fruit's bright aroma. A subtle creaminess balances the sharpness of the bergamot, creating a well-rounded composition. A truly beautiful fragrance.

While it shares similarities with Lucky Days, this fragrance leans creamier and slightly woodier, whereas Lucky Days highlights more orange blossom and a crisp, sharp edge.

Smoky at first but dries down more tart and fruity, reminds me of nectarine. Also has really pretty floral notes. Obsessed with this scent and has nice lasting power! I’ve gotten lots of compliments and it delights me every time I wear it

I’m a very impressed with all the notes of this perfume. You can smell the flowers and the warmth of the sandalwood. It has fruit, flowers and a very amber smell.

Lovely comforting scent, while complex and interesting. The darker smokier base supports the shimmery top notes and reads as quite sexy. Great lasting power and lovely dry down without being too heavy. A fruit scent for those who don't love fruit scents.

A favourite in my collection. I bought a full bottle after finishing a perfume oil of the same scent. I've also had top notch customer service from libertine. Thank you!

For me it starts off very green (think bruised twigs and leaves) with a hint of smoke but mellows into a delicate slightly powdery floral and ripe stone fruit with a lingering smoked edge to it. After the initial spray it stays more skin close in terms of projection. I get a decent 5-6 hours wear.

Love the sweet smoky smell of this fragrance. It last also for a long time.

I never thought I would say a floral scent would make me feel sexy, but this one certainly does. Smoky, sultry, not too sweet, girly or whimsical, just absolute, subtle perfection in a bottle.

I was so excited for this one. I love apricot, bergamot, herbal scents and wildflower accords. All I got was heavy woodsmoke, literally nothing else.

My favourite perfume. I really hope that the new formulation is similar.

Comforting but fresh but also sexy? Don't ask me how he did it. That's just what it smells like. I'm slightly obsessed with this scent.

Libertine is quite honestly my favorite house. I own every scent with several travel sizes, roller ball, and full sizes. I've purchased multiple discovery sets to give as gifts and share with friends. I layer at least smoked bloom everyday with a few other signatures from other small houses. Alone, these fragrances are ooey, gooey, sticky, sweet, and sensual. I will always have at least a travel size on me of smoked bloom and will be repurchasing for gifts and myself.

I found this in a gift store in Atlanta. Something about it was intimidating but intriguing simultaneously. After a few hours of wearing it, it gives flowers in a cigar shop. I love the sophistication it gives me. Not a fragrance for the weak!

I can't say enough about this scent. It's an amazing combination.
Would be very happy if you brought back the roll on though.

Like florals but don’t want an overly forward floral scent? Like a bit of substance behind delicate notes? Smoked Bloom was my favourite out of the trial pack I purchased and I bought the full size now! It’s such a unique scent in the way it’s balanced: the floral notes don’t make this too feminine, the same way that the smokey undertone doesn’t make this too masculine. I love the way it lays on the skin as it’s not too obvious when you enter the room, more noticeable at closer proximity which almost creates a sense of mystery. Love it, I’ve been looking for a unique, well priced, and locally made perfume for a long time and I’m so glad I chose this one. If you’re thinking about it, just allow yourself the luxury and enjoyment of Smoked Bloom.

This is my first purchase of a Libertine fragrance. I saw the discontinued oil sale online and rushed over, only to find Smoked Bloom available. It was not my first choice, but as someone who is studying perfume (independently since 2018 but formally through an online program as of this year), I grabbed what was left if only just to study it and not wear it. I was blown away by the quality and the sheer excellence of this perfume. Josh, perfumer and owner of Libertine Fragrance has the makings of the quality presented by Le Labo and his nose is reminiscent to me of Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Master perfumer for Louis Vuitton. If you appreciate either of those brands, I would recommend that you not hesitate for one moment and immediately purchase the sample pack. I love Smoked Bloom for me, but I do find it leans masculine and I prefer it on my husband. It’s too bad that the oils are discontinued because the texture of this is absolutely magnificent; it blends like silk into your skin. I’m so glad I was able to try Smoked Bloom and I’ll be purchasing more from Josh as soon as I can!

I don’t feel capable of writing an eloquent story like the other reviewers. All I can say is I crave this fragrance. It’s mysterious and sexy and not over the top… unless you want it to be. Then just spritz more.

Listen I have a lot of perfumes in my collection, and this is definitely one of my favorites. The bottle is stunning, and the perfume (like all of the ones they sell) is beautifully constructed and blended. I cannot recommend this perfume and this line in general enough

Lovely fragrance - easy to apply.

Smoked bloom is definitely a sent that lays close the skin, it is not something that will linger in every room you enter. Which I actually really love because I still get compliments on it all the time when people get a little closer to me. It is very quickly becoming my favorite perfume. It is sweet but not in a sickly way but instead a sweet lusciousness that is somehow both dark and fresh. It truly smells luxurious, mysterious and comforting all at the same time. A truly unique fragrance that I will be purchasing again when I start to run low.
