I found the Instagram ad quite misleading. This perfume does not smell like a forest at all. The rose and incense notes are overwhelming, completely overshadowing the subtle "forest" scent, if it’s even there. Very disappointed. Thankfully, I didn’t purchase the larger bottle.
The scent does mellow out over time, and while it doesn't smell bad, it simply doesn't deliver on the promised forest fragrance.
Also never received my % rebate on first purchase.

This one was not love at first spritz! The opening notes are a bit strong and have an almost bug spray-ish quality but when it softens it really beautifully captures the sweet warmth of sun soaked pine. It's tender, delicate and reminds me of breathing in fresh forest air. I wish it lasted a little longer on me - I'm in love with Soft Woods now.
Such an amazing fragrance, it smells absolutely magical and reminds me of walking through the old growth forest in hiadia gwaii. I adore it on myself but also my boyfriend. Beautifully done
The opening is pretty good, but the drydown is sooooooo good. On me, the dry-down (like 45 mins in) is like an incense stick. Not burning, just smelling a good quality incense stick. I love it. It’s coniferous, floral, and sweet in the beginning but ohhh the drydown. This also lasts a long time which is a plus.
I bought the sample size a year ago, and thought it was a lovely scent. As I was going through the notions of 2025 - I often returned to the scent in my mind. I had already used up the sample, so I was thinking about buying more.
The promotion was available, so I thought why not! It was decently priced, and I liked the scent overall.
When I finally gave myself a full spray of the product, and let it sit for a while... I experienced a sense of nostalgia hitting me. It brought me back to the musky days of a summer haze in the late 90's. It shocked me a bit, and honestly brought me a euphoric rush.
I wear it everyday now, and I couldn't be happier! This is a must buy!

Everything there is to love about woodsy scents with the beautiful forward twist of rose. Even when I'm not wearing it I'll pull the cap off for a deep sniff. I'm overjoyed that I get to smell like a forest dryad whenever I want. Not to mention the gorgeous craftsmanship on the bottle!

I have been sampling quite a few scents lately, and this has been my favourite by a mile. I bought a full bottle. It smells like walking through a late afternoon forest full of wild roses. There is a distinct incense-y note that brings in a mystical or esoteric feel. The dry down is warm and cozy and still a little mysterious.
I ordered the sample scent pack a while back and fell in love with Soft Woods. I’m so happy I purchased the larger bottle. Well worth it!
I love unique scents and have blind bought a lot of fragrances based on notes and unfortunately this was such a miss for me. Straight off it smells like bug spray and I was hoping it would mellow with the dry down but it hasn’t. The rose is so strong and sharp that it overpowers everything and I don’t get “woods” barely at all. This was a bummer as I wanted to support a smaller fragrance brand.
I don't smell anything in particular that I can attribute to a specific aroma, however the compiled scent is enchanting and unique. Once it dries on your skin, it takes on a completely different scent, and loses its strength (thankfully) than fresh out of the bottle.
I deeply enjoy the smells of the earth and firs and life around me in the woods. This scent brings that to me on a night out.
I took a chance on ‘Soft Woods’… - What a surprise to discover complex notes complimenting one another - a paradox of scent reminiscent of an open midafternoon meadow peppered with powdery pink Wild Rose all the while… surrounded by brazen vertical stands of conifer - yet softened by the sweet scent of arching canes of black raspberry blossom approaching late Spring & into June… Loving this gentle & sure personality - SOFT WOODS
I should just buy the bigger bottle! Repeat, repeat, repeat customer! The smell of this is incredible! It first seems to go on strong, but dissipates quickly with a super long lasting scent all day!
The smell is deliciously warm and inviting. I've been wearing it daily since buying. Feels like frolicking through a meadow with the sun shining. One star off because the fragrance doesn't last more than an hour on me :(

First spray starts out with a peppery harsh note. Give it a minute or so, and it settles down into a soft subtle spice that you will keep getting wonderful waves of all day long.
The scent of Soft Woods is reminiscent of trekking through the woods of the Pacific Northwest and coming upon a clearing in the wilderness. Immediately it made me think that this is what the baseball game scene in the first Twilight movie would smell like.
If you've ever wanted to smell like a woodland nymph in an enchanted forest, this one's for you.
I generally like quite "masculine" musk/oud scents, so when I got the sample pack, I was surprised that this stood out to me. It starts quite powdery and floral, so I wasn't sure at first! But as it dries down, the complexity comes through, and those forest scents start to mix with a spiciness from the frankincense at the bottom. I find that it remains quite sweet, but otherwise, it's one of those that seems to smell different every time I wear it, which makes it feel even more whimsical. I've since purchased the full-size bottle.
I haven't smelled anything quite like this before. It might not be for everyone, and if it's for you, it might not be your daily driver, but it absolutely hits its concept! I love it.

I've spent a lot of time in stores like Sephora trying to find a fragrance that smells warm, complex and different. I found it in two fragrances on this website, Troubled Spirits and Soft Woods. Both are wonderful yet different from the usual scents out there. I would highly recommend both.
